Mr & Mrs.Babu – The Quiet Duplex
In the historic, tree-lined heart of Old Bangalore, we crafted a duplex that breathes with its neighborhood. Designed for a family of four, this residence is an exercise in Subtle Luxury. It eschews the noise of modern trends to embrace the stillness outside its windows, using a palette of warm tones and clean lines to create a home that feels like a permanent Sunday afternoon.
Project Brief
The challenge was to design a spacious duplex that felt deeply connected to the park views and the peaceful atmosphere of the locality. The family sought a home that encouraged togetherness and conversation rather than digital distraction.
They required a high-functioning “Festival Kitchen” to handle large family gatherings and a layout that felt open, airy, and grounded in the comfort of “Old Bangalore” sensibilities.

Design Philosophy
Our philosophy for this project was “Contextual Minimalism.” We believe a home should be an extension of its environment. In the heart of Old Bangalore, luxury isn’t about gold or gloss—it’s about the luxury of a view, the warmth of wood, and the space to breathe. By prioritizing the “view over the park” and the “seat by the window,” we created a home that values experience over ornament.
Outstanding Outcome: A modern legacy home rooted in old-world peace.
The result is a duplex that feels remarkably light and soul-stirring. The bay windows have become the most loved spots in the house, turning a simple park view into a daily ritual of reflection. From the high-performance acrylic kitchen to the understated floating units, every element serves the family’s lifestyle of subtle elegance. It is a home that doesn’t just house a family; it protects their peace.
